The Geotrak P53 is a tracked based mobile platform suitable for mounting a range of attachments such as SPT, dynamic probing or rotary ground investigation tools for use on extreme slopes such as dams or motorway and  railway embankments. The working platform and drilling mast can be leveled in both planes to allow safe working on side slopes and steep inclines and is fitted with lockable tool storage, pipe racks etc. to carry all the necessary equipment to site. The steel tracks, fitted with single grouser pads, achieve good ground penetration to give maximum grip on steep slopes up to 53deg from horizontal.

The P53 is fitted as standard with radio control for both traveling and platform leveling (with manual operation for fine adjustments whilst on the rig). Once in position the 800mm fold down walkways and drilling mast with working platform are deployed to give a secure level working area. All working areas are fitted with heavy-duty, non slip, GRP floor grating and guarded with removable handrails, kick boards and stanchions.

Safe operation and speed of deployment are major features of this rig. The P53 can be transported on a
trailer towed behind a suitable 4WD and with a 3.4kph travel speed it can be quickly positioned on site. Leveling, deployment of decks, drilling mast and jacks takes a matter of minutes.

The superstructure and undercarriage can be supplied hot dipped galvanized for extended life and corrosion resistance.

Track System:

125mm heavy duty track chain with 250mm single grouser track plates with 7 lower rollers, 2 top rollers, hardened sprocket and spring loaded front idler.

Hydraulics:

Open loop hydraulic system (biodegradable oil option) with sealed reservoir, 10 micron return filter, suction strainers, level gauge and pressurised filler breather.

Pumps:

Transmission Piston pump with constant horsepower control.
