The Softrak Access Platform pairs the low ground pressure Softrak carrier with a 360° Skyking aerial platform, reaching a 13.8 metre working height and 7.5 metre outreach. The two-man basket carries up to 220 kg, making overhead maintenance work possible in wetland habitats and other environmentally sensitive areas where the Softrak's flexible rubber tracks minimise damage to flora and fauna.
A range of compact cranes can also be fitted, enabling loads to be transported and craned into previously inaccessible locations. On soft terrain, cranes of up to 20.5 kN/m can be fitted without stabilisers, minimising setup time and avoiding the risk of stabilisers sinking into soft ground — allowing loads of up to 500 kg to be lifted at 4.2 metres, or 1,730 kg at 1.25 metres. This makes the system well suited to handling barrels, kerbstones, manhole covers, pumps, traffic barriers, Portaloos and other medium-weight equipment. Larger cranes fitted with stabilisers can also be mounted where loads of up to 2,000 kg need to be safely handled.
The Softrak base vehicle is powered by a 67 hp turbo-diesel engine with a single-lever control for steering, speed and throttle, and high-torque two-speed (14/7 kph) wheel motors with integral oil-immersed emergency and parking brakes. The three-man, fully glazed cab includes a suspension seat, lap restraints, grab handles, and cab heating and ventilation. The Skyking platform adds independent interlocked outrigger controls, automatic basket levelling, failsafe lock valves on all hydraulic cylinders, and an emergency stop duplicated at both cage and base.
Our team can help confirm the right vehicle and attachment configuration.
