The GT100 soil-sampling rig is a specialized tracked platform designed for windowless sampling and Standard Penetration Tests (SPTs) on extreme terrain such as dam walls, railway embankments, and motorway cuttings. Featuring automated self-levelling in both planes, it ensures a secure horizontal working platform on steep inclines and side slopes up to 45 degrees.
Its steel tracks with single grouser pads deliver exceptional ground penetration and grip. A 7,400 kg radio-controlled winch provides critical backup security on steep sites. Once positioned via radio control, fold-down walkways deploy to create a protected workspace equipped with heavy-duty GRP floor grating, removable handrails, kickboards, and stanchions.
With a travel speed of 3.4 kph, the rig can be rapidly deployed on site and transported easily on a trailer towed by a suitable 4WD vehicle.
